Default I hate this game.

Not really, but right now I'm about ready to uninstall the game, stick the CD in the microwave and set the box on fire.

The signet capture system is garbage. Whoever's idea it was to make you run through 9821418 annoying mobs, that all do snares and knockdown and drop shit loot and give shit xp, for 2 hours just to finally get to the monster with the elite you're looking for out in the middle of god knows where, only to have your mage henchman kill it in 8 seconds before you can actually capture the skill should be SHOT IN THE FACE.

JUST MAKE ELITES BUYABLE ALREADY, LIKE THEY WERE BEFORE RETAIL. PUT THE TRAINERS IN THE WaW AREAS OR SOMETHING. /breath

The netcode, warping, and collision detection is ridiculously bad. Getting sucked under bridges, spawning inside the arena pads and getting stuck for the match, people flying midair in the Hall of Heroes, running between players and monsters, only to get sucked behind a wall or inside a group of said monsters/players seconds later, surrounded and unable to escape, crossing bridges only to get trapped in players/monsters BELOW YOU.. WTF IS GOING ON?!

I've spoken with alpha players and they've said Arena Net's trying to reduce the amount of data send back and forth between the client and server. If that's the case then they need to stop being stingy and FIX THIS SHIT.

/rant (What a waste of a Saturday night. And no, I never did end up capturing that elite)

When compared with many other MMOs at release, Guild Wars is surprisingly smooth and stable.

I share your feelings about the capture system, though. The only reason I'm glad it's around is that it forces me to explore areas I normally wouldn't.

The capture system is garbage and you should not be forced to do anything. PvE players should be able to purchase there skills from the skill trainers and pvp should be able to unlock there skills with the click of a button. The game is nothing like it was toted to be all bwe and I for one and disappointed.

Yeah I am really starting to hate the capture system. It wouldnt be so bad if it was actually easy to get groups doing specific capture runs but its impossible unless you arrange it with your guild or friends.

Trying to get elite skills in the shiverpeaks and desert with a henchman group is really frustrating. Atleast in the ring of fire it is all missions so you can just join a mission group.

Not really. What you're hearing is people who've invested their money and time into this game pointing out some problems. I don't care how cheap or how free something is... if it's broke, it's annoying.

Yeah, but the problem is that the only people outside of your guild who will want to help you are those who need the skill as well. However you put it, 6 elementalists aren't going to do well running to an elite for a skill.

I think it's a fun system. I enjoy going elite hunting with friends. Some of those elites are very powerful and are not meant to be easily obtainable. It gives people time to adjust to new skills you will see in the arena and some to come as a surprise. It's exciting.

Finnally, a complaint with actual facts.
And i agree with most of them..
Sure i would rather be playing everquest, or World Of Warcraft, But with no monthly fees, ive manages to addict to this game.

Exactly. You should work for your powerful skills... not have them handed to you on a silver platter.

Good thing the game still works without the CD huh
The process really isnt that bad, if you werent shown the skills earlier you woudlnt even know they exist. I think captureing skills is actually kind of fun, and if your the monk slightly risky too Now only if they had the signet of capture earlier on in the game :/

Yeah, and Guilds shouldn't have to battle to gain rating, they should just be able to choose whatever rank they want. And there should be an NPC that you give any amount of gold to and he gives you back a thousand times more. Because who needs a game with something to work for, when you could have one with nothing to do?

If everyone could just unlock all the skills with a PvP character, a lot of the players would never do any PvE. The current system is excellent; if you want to PvP, you can make a character, but if you want it to be exactly the way you think it should be, you need to work.

It's a bloody game. If I wanted to do work, i'd go get another job. I bought this game to have fun, hence it being a game. If they don't want to explore because they can unlock skills easily, that's their perogative. Let people do what they like to do the most with the game, might it PvE or PvP.

Edit: The reason most people that are more PvE centric is all against in acquiring skills easier is because they don't wanna feel useless. They don't want to feel that all those grinding they did, is all in vain. They want everyone to go through the tortures they went through or it isn't all worty it. Hell, misery loves company right? Don't try to hold back people so that you feel better about on what you are doing. Leave people to their own devices and play your own with joy.

Working for 2 hours for a skill and then having the monster that has it die before you capture it is a ridiculous amount of work.

If your guild isn't willing to help you get a skill you need, methinks it's time to search for a new guild...

If capturing skills qualifies as work to you, I want your job!

AFAIK SoC will be changed, so that capturing will be easier. Just don't ask me when and how

I think the general idea of SoC is fine right now. They just have to tweak it a bit so that the currently impossible to capture skills are capturable (reduce SoC cast time, etc, so stances and other instant skills can be captured)

So far, I'd have to say both Caves of Sorrow and the Infusion mission can be done with henchies alone. All the areas around these places can also be done with henchies, so it shouldn't be that hard to track down the monsters. However, they should make the bosses have more hp, so they dont' get killed to easily.
